Conversational leadership, campaigning & policymaking - open workshops

Book now – from just £145

We offer a range of flexible options including full day open workshops aimed at groups or individuals from just £145 per person, and “in house” group training starting at £795.

In the digital age, thought-leadership and campaigning can be enhanced by an effective use of community technologies to foster good conversations.

In order to crowdsource judgement from a wide range of participants, you first need to foster a inclusive and conversational exchange of information, evidence and opinion.

In this session, you will learn about …

  • Starting discussions – chosing your subjects and choosing the right time: Planning for engagement
  • Writing for blogs – how to author web-content that will be widely read and responded to
  • Marketing your web-content – getting lots of eyeballs looking at each posting
  • Monitoring other blogs – how do stay on top of your subject without it dominating your life
  • Interacting with your community, other communities and weblogs
  • Efficient blogging: how good blogging can reduce your workload instead of increasing it
  • Tips from experienced bloggers

Who is it for?

  • CEOs and senior managers
  • communications professionals
  • councillors
  • MLAs and their assistants
  • NGOs & Third Sector professionals
  • public sector managers
  • policy specialists

You will leave this one-day session (10am – 4pm) with a clearer understanding of the skills and tools you will need to be a more effective communicator. It will provide an introduction to the aspects of social media that you will need to understand to promote online dialogue more effectively, and an outline of the technical skills you will need to realise these ambitions.

A range of full day open workshops taking place in Belfast during 2010. These are all one-day sessions (10am – 4pm) and can be booked individually at £145 per person. Don’t worry if you can’t make them all – we’ll be offering other opportunities to attend these over the coming months. You can find out more information about dates and times by visiting the Slugger Consults website.

All tickets for these workshops are subject to Slugger O'Toole Ltd's terms and conditions.
